Friendship Fun Activities

This is a day to celebrate friendship! Why not celebrate your wonderful friends? Here are some ways:

• Meet at the place where you first met. Bring your earliest photos and reminisce about old times.
• Dress up in your most formal clothes. Have a photo session.
• Have a 'halo-halo' party and let your friends bring the ingredients! (Variation: taco, salad, ice cream party)
• Draw each other. Keep each others' drawings.
• Cook a meal together. Experiment with the ingredients and invite other friends over to review your concoction.
• Plan a vacation together. Go to a place you've always wanted to go to. Decide to have a great time!

Friendship Craft Gift

Gifts are more warmly appreciated when it is personally made from the heart! All you need are: fabric pens of different colors and a plain solid-colored t-shirt.

To make the design, think of your friend's interests, favorite animal or food and if you like sketching, you can draw on the shirt. If you'd rather put words, you can put the good traits of your friend all over the shirt.

If you belong to a group of good friends, this would be a great Friendship Day activity and all your shirts can match! Let your creativity be your guide in designing!



Trees for Life 2007

A Joint Project of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and the Green Army
The Trees for Life: 20 million Seedlings for Planting project was launched on June 5, 2007, World Environment Day, at the Cultural Center of the Philippines by its joint proponents, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Green Army Philippines Foundation.

Its object is to initiate a massive reforestation of denuded watersheds and logged-over areas all over the Philippines by planting 20 million tree seedlings between July and November of this year.

For the Trees for Life project, the Green Army is now issuing a call for 20 million volunteers to plant 20 million trees.

To report environmental crimes, complaints, or make inquiries to the DENR Secretary, text your message to 5777 in the following format:

Example: DENR SEND illegal dumpsite operating in barangay Gulod Cabuyao, Laguna.
DENR TextCast allows the general public to report the following to the DENR Secretary for immediate action:

Smoke Belching
Illegal logging/deforestation
Illegal disposal of waste
Poaching
All other environmental crimes
