Dear Friend,Who says politicians don't get anything done? I'd say the US congressmen of 1935 did pretty well when they proclaimed every first sunday of August as National Friendship Day. Friendship is one of the nicest things on planet earth and it's just as well that there's a day we can celebrate it!
How I wish that the kind of friendship in our nation, in our world, would be the kind that extends to every soul - young, old, rich, poor, smart, not-so smart, fat, thin... and would not exclude anyone. That it would be a friendship not for a few but for the common good.
Is your heart open to new friendships? Do you keep in touch with old friends? Each person is a gift. There's a saying that goes "Gather new friends but keep the old, for those are silver, and these are gold." How about you? What will you do this Friendship Day?
Happy Friendship Day! - August 7, 2005

Did you see us on TV?
Papemelroti has been on the air recently on 2 popular programs!
Patsy, the eldest of the 5 siblings, or more recognizably the "Pa" in Papemelroti, shared the joys of scrapbooking on Magandang Umaga Pilipinas, ABS CBN Channel 2's morning program last July 1. She showed some samples of scrapbook work which can easily be done using one of Papemelroti's newest products - the Craft cuts. She also used Papemelroti's popular scrapbooks for her inspiring creations.
The scrapbooking craze has really caught on in our country so if you want to learn how to make your pictures come alive through scrapbooking, click to our website feature here.
Another feature on the same channel, this time on the Family, was broadcast last July 31 on Balitang K with Korina Sanchez. Many televiewers got the chance to know more about the early beginnings of Papemelroti. When asked the secret of how the family stays together in business, Benny Alejandro, the company president stressed the importance of liking what you do and giving each family member the freedom to do that in his work. Everyone also agreed that truly this business is God-given and indeed blessed! The Papemelroti family is truly grateful for the chance to share the blessing of this business with others.
